The Asian Physics Olympiad 2026 (APhO 2026) is the 26th Asian Physics Olympiad, taking place from May 17 to May 25, 2026, in Busan, South Korea, hosted by the Korean Physical Society and the Organizing Committee of APhO 2026.
Attending the ceremony was Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Vice Director of the Vietnam Quality Assurance Agency, Ministry of Education and Training; Mr. Do Duc Que - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa Province; and Prof.Dr. Le Thanh Son - President of the University of Science.
On the side of Hanoi National University of Education, there were the presence of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Kieu Van Hoan - Vice President; Prof.Dr. Luc Huy Hoang - Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences, Head of the Vietnam APhO 2026 Delegation; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Danh Bich - Dean of the Faculty of Physics, along with the teachers involved in the selection and intensive training of the team; and especially the 08 official students of the Vietnamese Team participating in the Asian Physics Olympiad 2026, alongside the students' parents.
Prof.Dr. Luc Huy Hoang – Head of the Vietnam APhO 2026 Delegation, delivered a report on the selection, training, and intensive coaching process of the team, while sharing the professional preparation as well as the morale of the students before this important competition. APhO is not only an academic competition of international prestige but also an opportunity for Vietnamese students to access advanced academic standards, exchange ideas with outstanding peers in the region, and nurture their passion for science. This year, 08 excellent students were selected through a rigorous and strict process. During the coaching period, they were provided with advanced specialized knowledge, trained in experimental skills, and thoroughly prepared in terms of psychology and conduct before entering the international arena. He also expressed his hope that the students would enter the competition with a calm and confident mindset, maximizing the capacity, mettle, and scientific spirit of Vietnamese students.

Representing the students of the team, student Nguyen Nhat Minh, Grade 11, High School for Gifted Students, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, expressed his honor and pride to represent Vietnamese students at the Asian Physics Olympiad 2026. He shared that the period of review and intensive coaching at Hanoi National University of Education not only helped the members reinforce their specialized knowledge but also boosted their self-confidence, solidarity, and determination before the international competition. On behalf of the team members, he expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Training, teachers, families, and the University for always showing care, accompanying, and creating the best conditions for the team throughout the learning and training process. The team will make every effort, maintain a calm and courageous spirit, and maximize their capacity to achieve high results at the competition, contributing to spreading the image of dynamic, intellectual, and highly aspirational Vietnamese students on the international stage.

Within the framework of the program, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha – Vice Director of the Vietnam Quality Assurance Agency, Ministry of Education and Training, acknowledged the efforts of the educational units, teachers, and students during the national team's selection and coaching process. He expressed his firm belief in the serious preparation of the Vietnamese team, and sent his best wishes to the students to maintain a steady psychological state, be confident, stand united, and achieve great results in this year's competition, continuing to bring home proud achievements for Vietnamese education on the international stage.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Departments of Education and Training, high schools with students participating in the team, and representatives of the parents sent their best wishes, encouraging the spirit and presenting flowers to congratulate the Vietnamese team attending APhO 2026, demonstrating their trust and high expectations for the outstanding achievements of the Vietnamese delegation this year.
