Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower & Upper School Organizes the Entrance Competency Assessment for Grade 6 for the 2026–2027 Academic Year with Over 6,300 Candidates Participating

On May 17, 2026, Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower & Upper School – Hanoi National University of Education solemnly organized the entrance competency assessment for Grade 6 admission for the 2026–2027 academic year in a serious, safe, and regulatory-compliant atmosphere. The examination continues to receive great attention from parents and students nationwide, affirming the prestige and training quality of the School.

This year, the examination welcomed 6,335 registered candidates competing for 320 enrollment quotas. To ensure the organizing work took place smoothly, the School closely coordinated with functional units of Hanoi National University of Education to arrange 180 examination rooms across 05 test sites. Specifically, these included: Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower & Upper School; the High School for Gifted Students (Buildings D1, D2, D4); the D2 + D3 building complex; Building C – the School of Mathematics and Informatics; and Building K.

The examination comprised three subjects: Vietnamese (45 minutes), English (30 minutes), and Mathematics (45 minutes). The exam content was primarily based on the Grade 5 curriculum under the 2018 General Education Program, focusing on comprehensively evaluating students' competencies through requirements on thinking, knowledge application, and problem-solving capacities.

In addition to the test results, candidates were granted bonus incentive points if they achieved outstanding accomplishments during the 2025–2026 academic year. Accordingly, students possessing a valid TOEFL Primary certificate or winning prizes at the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO) received bonus points in accordance with the regulations of the Admission Council. This policy contributes to encouraging students to develop comprehensive capacities and actively integrate internationally.

The success of the examination was the result of thorough preparation and synchronous coordination between the School and relevant units; it also demonstrated the sense of responsibility and professionalism of the staff, teachers, employees, along with the supporting forces participating in serving the examination. The competency assessment is not only an important step in the School's enrollment work but also contributes to selecting students with appropriate capacities and qualities for the high-quality educational environment of Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower & Upper School.

The examination results are projected to be announced on June 1, 2026. Successful students will enroll on two days, June 2 and 3, 2026.
