1. Purposes of the exam

- Diversify admission methods, increase the chance of admission, and better classify candidates' abilities to select suitable students to study several majors at the regular university level.

- Provide exam results for higher education institutions to use as a basis at different levels to consider regular university admission, thereby contributing to reducing pressure on candidates and reducing costs from the government budget, the cost to society of many entrance exams.

2. Participants, registration requirements and scope of application

a) Participants

Candidates are 12th-grade high school students or have graduated from high school (or equivalent), and need to take a competency assessment test to get admission results to universities.

b) Registration requirement

- General requirement:

     + Have valid exam registration documents; Pay the exam fee in full as prescribed.

     + Be in good health, not subject to criminal prosecution, and not in the period of being banned from taking exams according to current law.

- Specific requirement: Candidates need to carefully learn about each university's admission project and specific regulations on admission conditions based on the results of the Hanoi National University of Education's competency assessment test.

c) Scope of application

- Exam results certification is only valid for university admission in the 2024 admission year.

- List of higher education institutions that recognize and use the results of the Hanoi National University of Education's competency assessment exam for regular university admission:

     + Hanoi National University of Education,

     + Hanoi Pedagogical University 2,

     + Ho Chi Minh City University of Education,

     + University of Education - Hue University,

     + University of Education - University of Danang,

     + University of Education - Thai Nguyen University,

     + Vinh University,

     + Quy Nhon University,

     + Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

3. Exam content

a) Exams

Candidates choose to register for several exams among the subjects: Mathematics, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, and Geography and use the exam results to apply for admission to the following subjects: Regular university training majors according to the requirements of each university.

* Note: Each university stipulates a different number and combination of exam subjects to obtain exam results and admission to training majors. Candidates need to carefully study each school's admission scheme to register for the correct number of subjects according to their admission wishes.

b) Exam outline

The content of the exams corresponds and is consistent with the content of the subjects and exams at the high school level; Candidates take the test directly on paper.

The exam combines multiple choice and essay with an appropriate score ratio depending on the structure of each test, including questions assessing the level of understanding of core knowledge and the ability to reason, analyze, evaluate, problem-solving, and creativity. The questions have content from the 2006 general education program, taught in high schools according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The structure of the exams and specific exam time are as follows:

Candidates take the multiple-choice test on the multiple-choice answer sheet and the essay part on a separate exam paper prescribed by Hanoi National University of Education.

4. Organize the exam

a) Exam time: Saturday, May 11, 2024.

The exam schedule for 01 day according to exam shifts is as follows:

* Candidates are only allowed to register for 01 of 02 English test sessions.

b) Exam location

Candidates choose to register for the exam at one of the following three exam locations:

- Hanoi National University of Education, No.136 Xuan Thuy, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.

- Quy Nhon University, No.170 An Duong Vuong, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh.

- University of Education - Da Nang University, No.459 Ton Duc Thang, Hoa Khanh Nam, Lien Chieu District, Danang.

c) Exam fee: 200,000 VND/01 subject.

* Note: Paid fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.

d) Register to take the exam

- Candidates need to research and consider choosing 02, 03, 04, or 05 competency assessment tests to register for the exam. For each exam shift, one register for a maximum of 01 exam.

- Candidates register to take the exam online at: https://ts2024.hnue.edu.vn/.

Each candidate will register an account to access the system to declare/edit information and download evidence during the registration process. Candidates also use this account to look up exam results, register for re-examination, and look up re-examination results (if any).

- Exam registration period: from March 15 to April 15, 2024.

* Note: Details on how to register for the exam will be announced later.

e) Exam organization: According to the Competency Assessment Exam Regulations of Hanoi National University of Education. Exam questions and answers will be announced and made public on the Information Portal of Hanoi National University of Education after the last exam session ends.

f) Announcement of exam results: before June 1, 2024.

- Candidates can look up exam results on the information portal of Hanoi National University of Education.

- Candidates receive a certificate of exam results from Hanoi National University of Education (directly or by post). After that, candidates need to submit a certificate to the higher education institution that uses the results of the competency assessment test of Hanoi National University of Education for admission./.
