Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony between the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, VTC Online, and The Vietnam Foundation

On the morning of February 5, 2026, the School of Mathematics and Computer Science organized a Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony with VTC Online Joint Stock Company and The Vietnam Foundation.

 

Attending on behalf of VTC Online Joint Stock Company were Mr. Le Viet Hoa – Director; Mr. Kieu Huy Hoa – Strategic Advisor for goEdu and Khan Academy Vietnam; Mr. Tran Phuong Huy – Member of the Board of Directors; Ms. To Thi Lan Anh – Director; Mr. Luu Thuong Giang – Vice Director; and Mr. Ngo Quoc Dong – Head of the Technology Development Department. Representing The Vietnam Foundation were Mr. Kieu Huy Hoa – Strategic Director and Ms. Ha Phuong Thao – Program Development Manager.

Representing Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son – President; Dr. Dinh Minh Hang – Head of the President’s Office; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Hien – Principal of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Hai Ha – Vice Head of the Science and Technology Office; Dr. Le Nhu Thuc – Vice Head of the Academic Affairs Office; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Nhu Thang – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.

Opening the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Hien – Principal of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science affirmed the School's strengths in foundational Information Technology training and emphasized its potential as an environment ready for expansion and sustainable development. He highly appreciated VTC Online's solid foundation in IT and community education, viewing it as a vital prerequisite for effective professional cooperation. In the coming time, both parties plan to build collaborative plans based on mutual strengths, aiming for long-term development. He expressed deep gratitude for the University's support and expected the partnership to achieve practical success.

Mr. Le Viet Hoa – Director of VTC Online Joint Stock Company expressed his honor in signing the agreement, affirming that VTC is one of Vietnam's leading technology enterprises with large-scale projects in social networking and digital education. With over 16 years of experience in education and over 20 million online accounts, VTC has built a sustainable ecosystem. He emphasized that combining modern IT with standardized education is key to sustainability in the digital age. Accordingly, the cooperation focuses on academic competitions, building a breakthrough digital school platform, providing internship environments for students, and promoting research in IT and Artificial Intelligence. VTC committed maximum resources and infrastructure to effectively implement these joint programs.

Following the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Hien officially signed the agreement with The Vietnam Foundation, marking a step forward in strategic cooperation and establishing a legal framework for a long-term relationship. This milestone opens opportunities for digital transformation programs. Previously, both units successfully collaborated on the Vietnamese localization of Khan Academy, supporting students in remote areas to access knowledge more equitably. In the next phase, the parties plan to focus on digital learning materials, teacher training quality, and promoting IT applications in education.

He emphasized the mission of improving lives through self-study capacity and believed this university-enterprise model would become a benchmark for training high-quality human resources.
