Implementing the resolutions of the 14th National Party Congress and Resolution 71-NQ/TW on creating breakthroughs in education and training, the 2026 "Vietnamese Tet Colors" program was organized for the first time on a university-wide scale. For Vietnamese people, the traditional Lunar New Year holds a sacred meaning—a time to reflect on the past year and expect the best in the new one. Tet is also a day of reunion, allowing everyone to share love and bring happiness and peace to one another.

The opening ceremony welcomed Mr. Hoang Tuan Viet – Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation, Head of the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam Student Contest; Mr. Huynh Chi Cuong – Representative of DST Entertainment; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Van Hoan – Vice President of HNUE, along with leaders of functional departments, affiliated schools, and faculties. Also in attendance was the 1st Runner-up of Miss Vietnam Student Contest 2024, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thanh, an alumna of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies at HNUE.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Van Hoan – Vice President emphasized the noble values of the traditional Tet holiday. For HNUE, a cradle for training the nation's educators, preserving and spreading traditional cultural values is of even deeper significance. He praised the meticulously prepared activities, which demonstrated the students' creativity, love for culture, and spirit of solidarity. The program also served as an occasion to introduce Vietnamese Tet to international students currently studying and researching at the University.
The program created a healthy cultural playground, promoting the "Good Integration" and "Good Physical Fitness" criteria of the "Student with 5 Merits" movement. Through stalls selling handmade products and regional specialties, students promoted their hometown culinary cultures while contributing to the University's fund for students in difficult circumstances.

Additionally, IVY Vietnam Investment and Development JSC sponsored transportation for 150 students to return home safely for Tet.

The return of student Nguyen Thi Phuong Thanh, along with the sponsors, to present meaningful gifts to her fellow students for the Spring of the Horse 2026, is a noble and deeply humanitarian gesture that inspires a spirit of sharing among future generations. It is hoped that such beautiful and humanitarian actions will continue to spread from alumni to current students, fostering individuals who possess not only great knowledge but also compassionate hearts and a strong sense of social responsibility.
