Opening Ceremony of the High School Olympiad at Hanoi National University of Education for the 2025 - 2026 Academic Year

On the morning of April 5, 2026, Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) solemnly organized the Opening Ceremony of the High School Olympiad at the University Level for the 2025 - 2026 academic year. This annual competition aims to discover active student factors with creative thinking and flexible capacity to apply knowledge, while creating a source to nurture talents for higher-level student olympiads.

 

Attending the ceremony, on the side of the guests, the program welcomed Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Vice Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen Province, along with teachers representing the leadership of the Departments of Education and Training of Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh; Dr. Le Dinh Nam - Vice Head of the Admissions Office at Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chu Cam Tho - Vice President of Phenikaa University; representatives from Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology; Dr. Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Vice Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, VNU; and Mr. Nguyen Van Duy - Principal of Hung Yen Gifted High School, along with teachers from the leadership of partner Gifted High Schools and outstanding contestants participating in the competition.

On the side of Hanoi National University of Education, there were the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son – President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Van Hoan - Vice President; Dr. Vu Van Tien - Principal of the High School for Gifted Students of HNUE; along with teachers from the leadership of various offices and faculties within the University.

Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son - President of HNUE, extended his warmest greetings to the students from the gifted high schools attending the event. He affirmed that gifted high school students are factors with special qualities who always yearn to create activities to develop their capacities and have opportunities to shine. He emphasized that this is the first time the competition has expanded its scale to gifted high schools outside the affiliated system, marking the first step in forming a network of schools for talent development to create the best development opportunities for students. With its inherent potential, Hanoi National University of Education expects to continue promoting this learning ecosystem and talent education network, helping students assert their qualities and personal capacities, and clearly determine their future career orientations. Concluding his speech, he wished all the contestants participating in this year's competition confidence and success.

The students also received detailed consultations on the admission methods of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the 2026 admission methods of Hanoi National University of Education, and information about the Science Summer School 2026 organized by HNUE. These are important academic pathways that help gifted high school students approach a modern academic environment and priority admission policies designated for award winners.

Hanoi National University of Education presents gratitude gifts to the attending delegates

This year's competition attracted a large number of contestants competing across 09 exam subjects, including: Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, and English. All participating contestants had to meet strict conditions regarding academic and conduct results at the "Good" level in the first semester of the 2025 - 2026 academic year. Notably, students winning First, Second, and Third prizes in this competition are not only given priority for admission to HNUE but also hold the special privilege of registering to take advanced undergraduate courses while still studying at high school.

The success of organizing the High School Olympiad at the University Level for the 2025 - 2026 academic year once again affirms the focus of Hanoi National University of Education on discovering, fostering talents, and continuously improving educational quality.
