TRAINING PROGRAM: PSYCHOLOGY and EDUCATION

1. OUTCOME STANDARDS

1.1. Knowledge

- Being trained with basic, up-to-date knowledge of human psychology, the development of psychology and personality; knowledge about teaching and education in order to develop personality for students that helps to promote the development of society; basic knowledge about teaching methods, methods for researching and applying psychology and education.

- Being able to apply information technology to teaching and doing research

- Being able to use foreign language in communication and studying specialized materials.

1.2. Skills

- Being trained with basic professional skills including: skills for organizing teaching and educational activities; researching skills on educational and psychological issues; skills for applying advances in psychology and pedagogy in addressing social matters; self-study/independent study skills, self- improving personality.

1.3. Attitude

- Having initiative and positive attitude for enhancing different personality characteristics of a teacher in an institution based on the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; positively developing and penetrating Maxit- Leninit’s perspectives and Ho Chi Minh’s mind.

- Nurturing love for the occupation and students; respecting, protecting and developing professional values; appreciating responsibility for the occupation, students and the society; being aware of updating specialized scientific information; keeping the passion for self-study. 

1.44. Position, expected jobs and ability to improve qualifications after graduation

- Teaching psychology and pedagogy at colleges/practical schools or universities  

- Having capacity of doing research and applying knowledge of psychology and pedagogy to school settings, research centers, social and political organizations.

- Being able to continue studying at upper level within similar scientific areas.
