Award Ceremony for Two HNUE Students Achieving Outstanding Success at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (Seagames 33) in Thailand

Immediately upon learning that two students from the Faculty of Physical Education at Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) won the Bronze Medal in the Men's Synchronized 3m Springboard event at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, the President of HNUE issued a decision for an extraordinary commendation. This award recognizes their contribution to the pride of Vietnamese sports. The ceremony was solemnly held on December 23, 2025, at HNUE, right after the students returned from the competition.

 

The ceremony honoring the two students from the Faculty of Physical Education - Dinh Anh Tuan and Dang Hoang Tu both from class A3-K75 GDTC - was attended by: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son – President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hung Son – Acting Head of the Office of Political Work and Student Affairs; Dr. Tran Ba Trinh – Head of the Academic Affairs Office; M.A. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy – Secretary of the University’s Youth Union; Dr. Dinh Hoang Duong – President of the University’s Student Association, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Minh Nguyet – President of the School of Educational Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Hien – Vice President of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science; Dr. Do Xuan Duyet – Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education; Dr. Ho Cong Luu – Vice Head of the Office of Political Work and Student Affairs; along with numerous lecturers and students from the Faculty of Physical Education.

Following the announcement of the President’s decision, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son – President, personally presented certificates of merit, awards, and flowers to Dang Hoang Tu and Dinh Anh Tuan. The President praised the students' exceptional achievements and encouraged them to continue their efforts in both studies and training to overcome future challenges and bring further pride to the nation and the university.

The journey to success for these two students was filled with challenges. Before SEA Games 33, they underwent a one-month intensive training program in Nanning, China. Previously, in June 2025, they won a Gold Medal at the Southeast Asian Age Group Diving Championship in Singapore. Sharing their thoughts at the ceremony, the students mentioned that this SEA Games brought unforgettable memories as they fulfilled their promise of winning a medal for themselves and the country. They also expressed their gratitude to the University Leadership and the Faculty of Physical Education for creating favorable conditions for them to balance their studies and national team commitments.

Congratulating the two students, Dr. Tran Ba Trinh – Head of the Academic Affairs Office, and Dr. Do Xuan Duyet – Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, highly evaluated their persistence. The University and the Faculty committed to further researching ways to support the development of sporting talent among HNUE students alongside their academic journey.
