The ceremony to honor the “Typical Vietnamese Young Face of 2023” Award held on the evening of March 23, 2024, is the latest event marking the outstanding academic achievements of student Dinh Cao Son. This is a noble award given by the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to individuals with outstanding achievements, efforts, and striving for advancement among Vietnamese youth.

To be honored at this crucial ceremony, Dinh Cao Son, the former student of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted previously achieved excellent results in the 2023 International Chemistry Olympiad (IchO). Dinh Cao Son won the gold medal and was the highest-scoring Vietnamese contestant, ranked 7th among nearly 350 students from 89 countries and territories around the world. Son's achievement contributed to bringing Vietnam to third place in the entire group of the 2023 IChO exam.

Continuing the joy gained from the success of the IChO exam, Dinh Cao Son was honored to receive the “Second Class Labor Medal” (2023) from the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, achieving the title of “Three Good Student” of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee for the 2022-2023 school year and won the “Outstanding individual in learning, labor, and creativity” award for the 2020-2023 period of Ha Tinh Province.

Currently, Dinh Cao Son is studying a High-Quality Pedagogy system at the Faculty of Chemistry, Hanoi National University of Education to fulfill his dream of becoming a teacher, instilling inspiration and passion for chemistry in students in the future. At the Faculty of Chemistry, Dinh Cao Son not only continues to demonstrate his excellent academic ability but also is a typical member of the students’ Union and Association, very dynamic and active in many activities. The young man is currently the monitor of the high-quality class and the Vice Chairman of the Associated Organ of the Faculty of Chemistry.
