Overview of the Graduation and Degree Awarding Ceremony for Doctoral and Master’s Graduates of 2024
Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh – Vice Chairwoman of Dich Vong Hau Ward People’s Committee; from HNUE, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hien – Party Secretary, Chairman of the University’s Board; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son – President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Van Hoan – Vice President; leaders from various university faculties; faculty members in charge of postgraduate training at the faculties; research supervisors; and a large number of relatives, families, and friends of the doctoral and master's students. Especially, the ceremony proudly and emotionally welcomed 82 new Doctors and 601 new Masters – outstanding students who have successfully completed their postgraduate programs at HNUE and graduated in 2024.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son – President of HNUE warmly congratulated the new Doctors and Masters; and commended their persistent efforts throughout their academic journey. The President emphasized: “This is not only a development in academic expertise but also a remarkable maturity in thinking, bravery, and intellect. These are invaluable milestones, forming a foundation for greater advancements in scientific and professional careers.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son also expressed deep appreciation and trust that today’s new Masters and Doctors will continue to write glorious pages in the history of knowledge and dedication.

In the solemn and emotional atmosphere of the ceremony, on behalf of the new graduates, Dr. Phan Thi Thuy Hang expressed her honor and pride to have been trained at HNUE – an institution with over 70 years of development, where the wisdom, dedication, and tireless contributions of generations of outstanding educators converge. She shared: “Today, we are not only receiving a doctoral or master’s degree but also carrying a promise: Knowledge will not stop within the pages of theses, but will continue to live, to spread… on every lecture platform, every book page, every student’s gaze – wherever on this S-shaped land. We are the ones who will guide the younger generation, not only imparting knowledge but also inspiring, opening up new horizons of creativity and growth. [...] Every step we take today is an inheritance and continuation of the values that HNUE has instilled in us, to reach new successes and contribute even more to the education and science of our country.”
