The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Khamtan Somvong, Education and Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Lao PDR in Vietnam. Representing Hanoi National University of Education were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao – Vice President; Dr. Cao Tuan Anh – President of the Trade Union; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hung Son – Acting Head of the Student Affairs Office; Dr. Dinh Minh Hang – Head of the President’s Office; Dr. Do Xuan Duyet – Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, along with numerous staff members, lecturers, and Laotian students studying in Hanoi.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao – Vice President, emphasized the significance of sports exchange activities in strengthening the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. He affirmed that HNUE consistently regards Laotian international students as an integral part of the university’s academic community. Through cultural and sports exchanges, staff and students from both countries have further opportunities for mutual understanding, thereby contributing to the cultivation of the traditional relationship, friendship, and sustainable cooperation between the two nations.
Immediately following the opening ceremony, representatives from the HNUE leadership and the Lao Embassy presented flowers to both teams, demonstrating the spirit of sporting solidarity and friendly exchange.
The match proceeded with great excitement and enthusiasm, attracting enthusiastic cheers from a large number of staff, lecturers, and students. Players from both teams delivered impressive performances, creating an atmosphere of excitement and cohesion.
The football exchange was not only an opportunity for staff and Laotian students to improve their physical health but also served as an important bridge to tighten the cooperative relationship between Hanoi National University of Education and the community of Laotian international students studying in Vietnam.
