The conference continues to create an international and domestic forum between researchers, lecturers, practicing professionals, representatives of managers, and teachers of inclusive and specialized educational institutions on improving the quality of Inclusive Education, towards a sustainable learning and educational society for children and people with disabilities, learning from experiences around the world to guide application in Vietnam's practical conditions.
The conference welcomed nearly 250 delegates, including international delegates from Japan, and Malaysia; Domestic delegates: Ministry of Education and Training and affiliated agencies; universities of education, universities, colleges, research institutes; Departments of Education and Training, high schools and other educational establishments; press and media agencies; units within Hanoi National University of Education; delegates from nearly 20 provinces and cities nationwide such as Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, Dak Lak, Hau Giang, Tien Giang, Ho Chi Minh City...
At the Conference, some main topics were shared:
a. Exchange updated information on domestic and international research results on the current situation and lessons learned in implementing inclusive education towards sustainable education for children with disabilities in Vietnam and worldwide.
b. Share and exchange domestic and international experiences and initiatives in improving the quality of inclusive education for children with disabilities, towards sustainable education at all levels, and thereby propose solutions suitable for the Vietnamese context.
c. Propose recommendations to the Ministry of Education and Training and relevant parties on policy directions to ensure quality inclusive education for children with disabilities.
The workshop contributes to the education sector's overarching goal in implementing the 2030 Agenda: "Building a quality, equitable, comprehensive education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for everyone”. The conference ended successfully with high appreciation from management levels, experts, and participating delegates. The conference results were summarized for the Hanoi National University of Education to propose policy recommendations to the Ministry of Education and Training, contributing to improving the quality of inclusive education for children with disabilities in Vietnam more effectively.
