The Conference took place in a particularly important context: Vietnam is implementing Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in developing science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation and Politburo Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in developing education and training; The digital transformation process with its profound impacts from the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is posing many new challenges and opportunities. The fields of social sciences, humanities, and education not only need to adapt but must proactively change to promptly explain, forecast, and shape social transformations. This requires new, interdisciplinary, and creative academic approaches, combining traditional research with modern technology. Therefore, this Conference is expected to be a multidisciplinary, multidimensional, open, and high-potential academic forum to share new research results, discuss pressing issues, and propose strategic solutions for the development of social sciences, humanities, and education in the digital era. Thereby contributing to:
1. Promoting research cooperation, knowledge transfer, and technology application among universities, academies, research institutes, and scientists domestically and internationally.
2. Orienting the development of social sciences, humanities, and education in the digital era, proposing creative and effective adaptation models.
3. Contributing to realizing major national strategies on science, technology, and digital transformation in general, as well as in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and education in particular.
The Conference Organizing Committee received nearly 500 abstracts, of which 358 reports were accepted for full-text submission and 198 papers were approved for inclusion in the Conference proceedings list, including many reports from international scholars from prestigious universities such as: École Normale Supérieure Paris; École Normale Supérieure de Lyon; École Nationale des Chartes (ENC) - PSL University, Paris; French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS); École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE); Indian Institute of Technology Indore; Peking University; Sun Yat-sen University along with many universities, academies, and research institutes in Vietnam and abroad. The reports submitted to the Conference were reviewed and peer-reviewed by the Scientific Council with coordination and support from Hanoi National University of Education Publishing House - one of the reputable publishing units with extensive international academic and publishing cooperation and exchanges in recent years.
Within the framework of this Conference, Hanoi National University of Education and École Nationale des Chartes (ENC) - PSL University, Paris, held a Ceremony to sign a Cooperation Memorandum, officially establishing a strategic partnership agreement to promote cooperation in enhancing the quality of training and scientific research for both universities. The basic areas of cooperation include: (1) Exchanging professors, lecturers, researchers, graduate students, PhD candidates; (2) Developing joint training programs; (3) Developing joint scientific research projects; (4) Co-supervising master's theses and doctoral dissertations; (5) Organizing scientific conferences, academic seminars; (6) Organizing translation and publishing joint publications, etc.
The Conference took place over two days, including the Opening Session and Plenary Session with 5 reports and discussions on the morning of November 27, 2025; the afternoon of November 27, 2025, and the morning of November 28, 2025, featured simultaneous activities in the following specialized subcommittees:
1. Philosophy - Religious Studies - Political Science - Sociology, in Room 201, Building K;
2. Psychology - Educational Science, in Room 201, Building K;
3. Linguistics - Philology - Cultural Studies - Art Studies;
4. History - Anthropology - Archival Science - Geography - Vietnamese Studies - International Studies.
The Conference reports are very diverse and focus on the following main content groups:
- Reports studying social sciences and humanities in general, and philosophy and philosophical thought in particular, in the digital era under the impact of artificial intelligence.
- Reports studying the impact, opportunities, challenges, and solutions for application in teaching philosophy, political science, religious studies in the face of digital transformation and AI.
- Reports studying changes in beliefs, religions, and socio-cultural behaviors, the shift in religious experience and spiritual life in the digital environment.
- Reports studying movements in political science and sociology amidst changes in contemporary life, especially the impact of technology, media, and digital transformation.
- Reports studying and applying AI tools, digital technology, and advanced models in university training and support; in teaching practice from preschool, primary to secondary and high school levels domestically and internationally.
- Reports studying interdisciplinary approaches, from language and literature to culture and art, thereby reflecting trends in social sciences and humanities in the digital era; foundational and applied issues of linguistics, Vietnamese in education, research, and life.
- Reports studying translation, translation culture, and translation training in the context of AI and technology.
- Reports studying theoretical issues, literary and art criticism, opening new approaches to texts, discourse, and artistic creation in the multimedia context.
- Reports studying fields of culture, art, architecture, sculpture, and applied arts reflecting the intersection of traditional and contemporary art, as well as the spread of digital creativity in architecture, fine arts, music, and design.
- Reports studying history, international studies, political science, or interdisciplinary fields, addressing issues of history, political science, and international studies to explain social fluctuations and world order in history.
- Reports studying library and archival work, focusing on archival science, digitization of documents, and knowledge heritage exploitation, contributing to shaping data management and archival models in the digital technology era.
- Reports studying Vietnamese Studies and International Studies, highlighting research results on cultural identity, communities, heritage, and cultural interflow, thereby clarifying the process of constructing, preserving, and promoting Vietnamese cultural identity in the context of globalization.
After the Conference, reports will continue to be refined and reviewed for publication in the International Conference Proceedings, expected to be published in Vietnam and the French Republic.
“Humans create technology, but technology is reshaping how humans understand the world” - this statement seems to aptly describe the era we live in. In the context of digital transformation spreading and strongly impacting all aspects of socio-economic life, social sciences, humanities, and education face numerous challenges but also open up countless opportunities to continue affirming their role and position. The organization of the Conference contributes to creating a prestigious academic forum where international and domestic scholars exchange new research results, share experiences, and suggest policies on social sciences, humanities, and educational sciences, proposing sustainable development models in the digital era.
