A major priority of the Hanoi National University of Education is to forge and develop international links. The university is involved in the establishment of bilateral cooperative relationships. It engages in this effort to strengthen the ties of understanding and friendship, including the following forms:

·         Exchange between faculties and students for research, study and teaching.

·         Exchange of information, teaching materials, and research publications.

·         Joint organization of seminars, workshops and conferences.

Hanoi National University of Education is an exchange-oriented institution. The large Students Hostel on campus provides enrolment positions for the Hanoi National University of Education, fostering international collaboration in residentially-based programs. The active International Relations Office is involved in developing regional and international opportunities. The following are some of its international ventures:

1.   Training of Teachers of Special education in Vietnam funded by the Netherlands.

2.   Joint Masters Degree Programs with Foreign Universities under the ADB Teacher Training Project Loan No.1718VIE (SF).

3.   Quality Improvement Grant WB to Teaching Facilities at HNUE.

4.   Offshore Australian Studies Programs: A curriculum for citizenship Project supported by the Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs, Australian Government.

5.   Support of Teacher Training by Distance Education project funded by Belgium and Vietnam's governments.

6.   Joint Implementation of the Support to the Renovation of Education Management project (SREM), the Building Capacity in Education Planning project (BCEP), Teaching and Research Innovation Grant (TRIG), the Vietnamese Overseas Scholarship (322) Project.

HNUE dedicates itself to the establishment of bilateral and multilateral cooperative relations in the era of globalization. The university maintains flourishing contacts with over 100 institutions in 33 countries throughout Asia and Oceania, Europe and North America.
