The opening ceremony of the Festival was honored to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Van Hoan – Vice President; Dr. Cao Tuan Anh – President of the HNUE Trade Union, comrades from the Executive Committee of the HNUE Trade Union, working boards, along with leaders of units throughout the University to attend and cheer.
Participating in this year's Festival was a large number of athletes who are officials, teachers, and workers from local Trade Union branches across the University, competing in various disciplines such as Chess, Chinese Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis, Pickleball, and two collective events: Rope Jumping and Tug of War.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the competitive atmosphere became vibrant with hundreds of exciting matches in Badminton and Table Tennis, attracting enthusiastic cheering from a large number of officials, managerial officials, and workers. In particular, the new sport Pickleball created an interesting highlight, bringing a new breeze to the Festival with dramatic and attractive matches.
The two collective events, Rope Jumping and Tug of War, continued to be the center of audience attention. The teams with flexible coalition forms created colorful competitions, demonstrating solidarity, coordination, and high determination, while bringing a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter and solidarity among trade union members.
The "Sports and Culture Festival" 2026 concluded successfully, leaving many deep impressions, contributing to enhancing cohesion and exchange among local trade union branches as well as individual officials and workers throughout the University, while affirming the role of sports and cultural activities in building a dynamic and positive working environment.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded First, Second, and Third prizes to athletes and collectives with outstanding achievements in the competitions, recognizing the efforts and the noble, giving-it-all competitive spirit of the participating delegations.
Also during the opening part of the Festival, the Executive Committee of the HNUE Trade Union presented a green plant as a souvenir to each local Trade Union branch, launching a campaign to respond to the movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful, Ensuring Occupational Safety and Health" and the "Green Office" model at the units.
