Representing Hanoi National University of Education were: Dr. Dinh Minh Hang – Head of the President’s Office; Dr. Dinh Nguyen Trang Thu – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Special Education; along with a large number of interested students from the Faculty of Social Work, Special Education, Chemistry, Educational Management, English, Mathematics - Informatics, and Physics.
In her address, Dr. Dinh Minh Hang – Head of the President’s Office, expressed her delight in welcoming the delegation from Deakin University and emphasized the significance of the program in bridging educational theory with the practical development of learners' competencies. In the context of globalization and digital transformation, fostering problem identification, design thinking, and a global mindset helps students enhance their professional capabilities as future educators.

In the main presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dhara Shah – Director of Partnerships and Engagement for Public Sector at Deakin Business School, shared the topic "Problem Identification and Design Thinking for Impact and Cultivating a Global Mindset." Assoc. Prof. Dhara Shah introduced the Design Thinking model as a creative approach that helps learners deeply understand human needs, identify the root causes of problems, and propose feasible solutions aimed at creating positive societal impact.

Following Assoc. Prof. Dhara Shah's presentation, numerous questions were raised regarding the application of design thinking in teaching practices, research, and the specific activities of pedagogical students. In response, she emphasized that "design thinking is not only a creative tool but also an approach that helps learners understand people and solve problems flexibly." Practical and relatable examples from Deakin's real-world projects helped students better visualize the application of innovative thinking in education and future career development.
To conclude the program, representatives from both institutions expressed their desire to further develop collaborative initiatives in training, academic exchange, and joint research in the future. The program not only provided HNUE students with opportunities to access international knowledge but also strengthened the sustainable partnership between Hanoi National University of Education and Deakin University, a reputable partner in the field of education and innovation.
