Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hien is the Secretary of Hanoi National University of Education Party Committee (December 2023-now), the Chairman of the University Council (2020-2025). He previously was the Vice President of HNUE. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology.

The University Council of Hanoi National University of Education is the administrative organization, exercising the representative rights of the University and related parties. The university council includes members inside and outside the university; the list of Chairman and members of the University Council is published on: https://hnue.edu.vn/gioithieu/hoidongtruong, recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training according to the term of 05 years. The Chairman of the University Council must be a person with good political and moral qualities, prestige, experience in higher education management, and good health to perform his duties; age to hold the position of Chairman of the University Council according to the provisions of law.
