Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Son has been the President of Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) since May 2024. He previously was the Vice President of Hanoi National University of Education.

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Son directly guides the following areas of work: training, innovation in pedagogical practices; Internal affairs, Anti-corruption; Finance; Organizational management; Commendation and reward system; Internal and external relations; Administrative reform; Infrastructure; Annual and long-term development plans for the institution; Development strategy for HNUE; Innovation in training models, teacher training programs; Implementation of Resolution 29/NQ-TW dated November 4, 2013.

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Son has held roles as a Chairman of the HNUE Scientific and Training Board, Chairman of the HNUE Emulation and Commendation Board, Chairman of the HNUE Salary Council, Chief of the HNUE Anti-Corruption Department, Commander of the HNUE Military Command, Head of Progress of the HNUE’s Women Board.

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Son is responsible for all units and is directly in charge of the activities of the following units:

+ The President’s Office; Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Infrastructure Management, Office of Graduate Affairs, Office of Finance and Planning, Office of Personnel Organization.

+ Faculty of Social Work, Faculty of Special Education, Faculty of Philology, Faculty of Education Management, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of English, Faculty of Physics.

+ Nguyen Tat Thanh Elementary School, Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School, HNUE High School for Gifted Students.

+ Center for Quality Assurance, Center for Training and Continuing Education, Center for Pedagogical Development and Research, Center for Development Education and Digital Technology, Institute for International Education and Training, Social Science Institute.

+ Financial independent units.
