Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Trao is the Vice President of Hanoi National University of Education. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics.

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Trao is directly responsible for the following areas of work: Science and Technology; Publishing; Library information; Student Scientific Research; Student Affairs; Foreign Language Project 2020; Youth work; Inspection Work; Security and Order; Culture and Sports; and Environmental Sanitation.

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Trao has held positions as Chairman of the HNUE Sports Association and head of the Technical Safety and Occupational Health Committee. He is directly responsible for the activities of the following units:

- HNUE's branch in Hanam province, Security Office, Political and Student Affairs Office, Science and Technology Management Office, Dormitory, University of Education Publishing House; Library Information Center, Bup Sen Xanh kindergarten, Natural Sciences Institute and other Science and Technology centers within the university;

- Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Geography, Faculty of National Defense Education, Faculty of Physical Education, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Faculty of History, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Citizenship Education, Faculty of Technical Pedagogy, Faculty of Mathematics, Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Vietnamese Studies, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, Faculty of French.
