The Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) and Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Under the Royal Patronage (VRU), Thailand.

On April 27th, 2023, HNUE and VRU, Thailand signed Memorandum of Understanding about the cooperation agreement between the two universities.

On behalf of VRU, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sombat Kotchasit, President of VRU, Assistant Prof. Dr. Pannraphat Takolpuckdee, Vice president of VRU, Assistant Prof. Dr. Nitikorn Onyon, Vice Dean of Faculty of Education, Dr. Vipavadee Khwaengmek, Secretary of International Relations Division.

On behalf of HNUE, there were Prof. Dr.  Nguyen Van Minh - President of HNUE; Assoc. Prof. Dr.  Nguyen Duc Son, Vice President of HNUE; Dr. Dinh Minh Hang, Head of President’s Office; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Duc Anh, Head of Postgraduate Training Department; Dr. Vu Thi Mai Huong, Vice Director of Centre for Research and Teacher Professional Development.

Opening the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh, President of HNUE warmly welcomed and highly acknowledged the significance of the MoU signing, which would promote the connection not only between VRU and HNUE but also Thailand and Vietnam. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh would like to create the close relationship between HNUE and VRU thanks to the MOU signing ceremony. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh also expressed the belief that the cooperation among the two parties would open up a great opportunity for academic exchange and better the training programs.

Attending the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sombat Kotchasit, President of VRU expressed her pleasure to connect and expand the cooperation relationship with HNUE. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sombat Kotchasit also shared several outstanding information and training programs related to VRU.

Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage (VRU) is one of the leading educational institutes of Thailand. VRU was established to improve the livelihoods of the local communities in the Southeast Asian region. For more than 90 years, VRU has been committed to the ongoing development of its programs, human resources, facilities and services. VRU is gradually moving towards international standards in quality of research, community services and the promotion of culture.

Based on previous discussions about the cooperation agreement between the two universities, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh, President of Hanoi National University of Education and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sombat Kotchasit, The president of VRU signed the MOU in which HNUE and VRU will cooperate in such activities as promoting academic programs; conducting collaborative research projects; exchanging faculty, researchers and administrative staffs; conducting conferences; exchanging academic information and materials; and other joint activities.

The signing ceremony creates opportunities for long-term cooperation between the two universities, contributing to tightening the link between science and training between the two countries.
