FACULTY OF CHEMISTRY

The Faculty of Chemistry was founded in 1951 as one of the first faculties at Hanoi National University of Education. Ever since it was established the Faculty has carried out the tradition of excellence in maintaining high-quality teaching and in doing research programs.

At present, in the Faculty there are 61 academic staff members including 16 Associate Professors, 21 Ph.D, 22 M.S. and 02 B.S. Many members of the faculty have received various National awards for their achievements in research and education. The Faculty of Chemistry offers undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D) programs. Since 1951, the faculty has produced more than 13000 BS degree graduates, 123 Ph.D. degree graduates and around 2000 MS degree graduates in the areas of Chemistry and Chemistry Education. Currently, about 120 undergraduate students and 80 postgraduate students enroll in the Faculty each year.

The research topics in the Faculty cover all disciplines of modern chemistry. In the recent years, the Faculty has had 220 granted projects including 66 projects at National level. The faculty members have published over 3390 papers in National and International journals. Among of them, over 400 papers in prestigious journals such as SCIENCE, JACS, … and Q1 quartize journals.

The Faculty has actively collaborated with different educational and research organizations in Foreign countries like Taiwan, Belgium, Russia, England, Australia, Korea, Japan, etc.
