Faculty of politics – civic education, established on November 9, 1976 with original name of Faculty of politics (on June 17, 2013 was renamed as Faculty of politics – civic education), has task of training political teachers in charge of political ideological education in high schools, provide training of Marxist-Lenin for students of other faculties in the University.
The Faculty now has 6 majors: Political Economy, Scientific Socialism, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh Thought, Civic Education, Law Education and Teaching Method, with 37 permanent staff of which 06 Assoc.Professors, 11 Ph.Doctors and 18 Masters.
The lecturers of Faculty of politics – civic education always meet the requirements of qualifications, competence, professional quality to provide high quality training at the University of Education, a key national unversity.
2. Training programs
Currently, the Faculty of politics – civic education is training 03 Undergraduate codes: Political Education, Civic Education and Political Education, 01 Master code specialized in Theory and Methods of teaching Political Education, 01 Ph.D degree in Theory and teaching method of Political Education.
Graduate students from Bachelor programs, Master programs and Ph.D programs are able to teach Political Theory subject at professional high schools, colleagues, universities, Political schools, district political training centers; they can teach civic education subject, life skills in schools and they also can take good responsibility of a state officers in government agencies, Communist Party agencies and social organizations; they can be able to study post graduate for Political Theory major, Political sciences, economics. Etc. in local and international institutes.
