The Faculty of Philology has a long tradition of 67 years since its founding, which is considered not only one of the cradles of the language sciences but also is a center for the training nation Literature teachers. Many educators, researchers, writers, poets, journalists, editors, television producers, musicians, singers, political-social activists who have grown up from here.

Training activities of the Faculty now include many systems: bachelor training with two codes of pedagogy and science bachelor; Master training, doctoral training. Since 2003, the Faculty of Philology has a new training system which is Hanoi National University of Education - Busan Foreign Language University bachelor degree.

Lecturers: The total number of Faculty lecturers is now 64, of which 4 Profs. Drs, 27 Assoc. Profs, Ph.Ds, 24 Ph.Ds, 7 Masters and 2 Bachelors. Many lecturers of the Faculty are well-trained from abroad: The Soviet Union, China, England, Canada, Australia who currently play an essential role in Curriculum and Textbook editing activities.
