In his address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hien – Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of University’s Board, Hanoi National University of Education warmly welcomed the delegation from Tamkang University and emphasized that international cooperation is a key strategic direction for HNUE. He expressed confidence that the MOU would create extensive and effective collaboration opportunities in natural sciences, particularly in Physics and Materials Science, thereby strengthening the relationship between the two institutions in the coming years.

Prof. Dr. Hung-Chung Hsueh – Dean of the College of Science at Tamkang University, expressed his honor to lead the delegation and sign the MOU with HNUE. He highlighted that this agreement would serve as a foundation for specific collaborative activities, including student exchanges, co-supervision of research, faculty exchanges, joint research, and specialized technical training. Prof. Hsueh emphasized the potential for rapid advancement in professional cooperation in quantum physics, advanced materials, synchrotron technology, and modern spectroscopic methods. He expressed confidence that, with commitment and determination from both sides, the collaboration between TKU and HNUE would yield practical and sustainable outcomes, contributing to the international academic network.

The MoU signing ceremony took place in a solemn, open, and constructive atmosphere, marking a significant milestone in the long-term collaborative relationship between Tamkang University and Hanoi National University of Education. The agreement establishes a framework for promoting academic exchanges, enhancing the quality of education and scientific research in key fields.

Following the signing ceremony, the scientific seminar “Frontiers in Quantum and Advanced Materials: From Theory to Spectroscopy” featured thematic presentations by professors from Tamkang University:
1. “Quantum Materials Unveiled: First-Principles Simulations and Spectroscopic Insights” by Prof. Hung-Chung Hsueh.
2. “Exploring the Magnetism of Materials Using X-ray and Neutron Scattering” by Prof. Chao-Hung Du.
3. “Nanotechnology Applications and Materials Analysis” by Prof. Ping-Hung Yeh.
4. “X-ray Micro-spectroscopy: A Powerful Tool for Advanced Materials” by Prof. Hsiao-Tsu Wang.
5. “A Decade of In Situ X-ray Spectroscopy for Energy Science” by Prof. Chung-Li Dong.
The seminar provided an opportunity for HNUE’s faculty, researchers, and students to engage with the latest advancements in quantum materials, magnetism, nanotechnology, and X-ray spectroscopy. It also served as an academic platform to foster international research collaborations, scholarly exchanges, and the development of high-quality human resources in the future.
