Attending the program, representing Hanoi National University of Education were: Associate Professor Nguyen Van Trao - Vice President of Hanoi National University of Education and in charge of Research and Development; Associate Professor Duong Minh Lam - Head of the Science and Technology Management Office; Associate Professor Hoang Hai Ha - Deputy Head of the Science and Technology Management Office. Representing the Student Union of Hanoi National University of Education were: Dr. Bui Thi Ha Giang - Secretary of the Student Union; Dr. Tran The Nga - Deputy Secretary of the Student Union; Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet - Deputy Secretary of the Student Union; Ms. Nguyen Ha My - Deputy Secretary of the Student Union, Chairperson of the Student Association, along with a large number of scientists and students from the university.
In his opening speech at the finals, Associate Professor Nguyen Van Trao, Vice President of the university, emphasized the process of construction and development of the univesity as the "multidisciplinary scientific center" and the "educational scientific center" with the longest history in the country. He acknowledged the remarkable progress in the number of research projects and students participating in scientific research during the 2023-2024 academic year, and expressed further expectations for the students of the university to "carry on the passion for science from previous generations, make efforts to contribute to the development of science and technology, and foster innovation and creativity of the institution, thereby bringing honor to the intellect of Vietnam."
In the introductory speech, Dr. Tran The Nga, Deputy Secretary of the Student Union in charge of professional affairs, emphasized the importance of research activities for the students of the university, as it is closely linked to the training of high-quality human resources. The research activities of the university have been continuously developing over the years, making Hanoi National University of Education not only a leading teacher training institution in the country but also a national-level research institution. By presenting statistics on the science and technology awards won by the university's students, the Deputy Secretary highlighted the significant progress in the research work of the students in recent years. This demonstrates that the students of Hanoi National University of Education are capable of undertaking research tasks for the institution and quickly maturing through research activities.
After the opening session, specialized committees were held to select high-quality projects to compete in the finals of the Ministry-level Science and Technology Awards and the Eureka Award. Among them, the Education Science Committee consisted of 16 projects, the Natural Sciences and Technology Committee had 12 projects, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Committee had 9 projects.
The committees also evaluated 37 poster presentations and organized a vote for the most favorite projects. At the end of the voting session, three projects were selected as the "Most Favorite Project" in each field. In the field of Education Science, the project with code KHGD 29 was chosen. In the field of Natural Sciences, the project with code KHTN60 was selected, and in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities, the project with code KHXH90 received the award for "Most Favorite Project."
The finals of the Science and Technology Student Awards for the 2023-2024 academic year were successfully conducted. The award results will be updated by the university to the faculties and research authors in the near future.
