Attending the seminar were a large number of delegates from the Ministry of Education and Training and the local Department of Education and Training including: Dr. Nguyen Huu Do - Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Dr. Thai Van Tai – Director General of Primary Education Department; Dr. Vu Dinh Chuan - Director General of Secondary Education Department; Ms. Vu Thi Tu Anh - Deputy Director General of Continuing Education Department; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Thuyet – General Editor of the General Education Program 2018; Experts, members of the General Education Program Development Board; etc. On the side of the Department of Education and Training, there were representatives of 27 departments in the whole country; Education bureaus of districts, towns and cities of provinces and cities; More than 100 teachers were President of Primary Schools in Hanoi, Hai Duong, An Giang, Lai Chau and Gia Lai, etc. Towards Hanoi National University of Education: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh – University President; Prof. Dr. Do Viet Hung – President of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao - Vice President of the University; Teachers and students were leaders of faculties, functional departments, leaders of the University of Education Publishing House; lecturers of the Department of Primary Education, staff of the University of Education Publishing House; etc. Press and television agencies such as the Education Times newspaper, VnExpress newspaper, Vietnamnet newspaper, Dan Tri newspaper, Tien Phong newspaper, Thong Tan Television Vietnam commune, National Assembly Television, etc.
The workshop was an opportunity for managers and program developers as well as teachers to discuss and share experiences, propose ideas and solutions to successfully implement teacher training in general and primary school teachers in particular for the new general education program which would be put into practice from 2021.
After the opening remarks of the Seminar of the Ministry of Education and Training’s leaders, and leaders of Hanoi National University of Education, the delegates listened to the speeches of managers, teachers, program development experts, researchers, etc. This was the following typical presentations: "Requirements and the ways to implement fostering primary school teachers to meet teaching according to the general education program 2018" of Dr. Thai Van Tai - Deputy Director General of Primary Education Department, Ministry of Education and Training; "From the new points of the General Education Program to the content and methods of fostering teachers to implement the Vietnamese Language Program" by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Thuyet, General Editor of the General Education Program 2018; "Training teachers to implement the Primary Mathematics Program" by Prof. Dr. Sc. Do Duc Thai, member of the General Education Program Development Board, Program Editor; "From the practice of primary school teacher training in Nam Dinh province, propose effective training solutions to implement the new school education program" of Meritorious teacher. Cao Xuan Hung - Director of Nam Dinh Department of Education and Training; "Some solutions to effectively implement the training of primary school teachers to meet the new general education program" of teacher Nguyen Quang Vinh - Head of Division of Primary Education, Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh city.
Participants of the seminar discussed lively and contributed ideas for solutions, how to implement the training of teachers and education managers as well as regular training in the locality. Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do affirmed that the training of teachers and educational managers this time will include both direct training and online training and fostering through the internet.
Related to another aspect of training teachers and educational managers, it was training materials and teacher training according to the new program. This document had been assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to Hanoi National University of Education.
