One more student from Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) won the prize EURÉKA

One more student from Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) won the prize EURÉKA. Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc, a grade 65 student from Faculty of Literature, won the second prize for “The 20th EURÉKA Student Scientific Research Award in 2018” with the research "Building a model of Hanoi's historical-cultural dictionaries and applying it on mobile devices for tourism development", a subject in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities. The study was conducted under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Lan Anh.

Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc is the second student of HNUE to win the prize. In 2017, Vu Thi Mai Anh, a student from Faculty of Biology won the first prize in the field of Food Science with the research: “Isolation and selection of bacteria capable of converting basa fish fat into Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA)”, guided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Van Thuoc.

Euréka is a prestigious prize for students interested in scientific research across the country. Organized annually by Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the National University of Ho Chi Minh City, the prize’s aim is to contribute to promoting the scientific research movement among students. This year, the prize Euréka involved participation of 903 researches from 106 universities and colleges of 24 provinces and cities. There were 165 researches selected to the final. 100 out of them were awarded, consisting of: 11 first prizes, 11 second prizes, 15 third prizes and 63 honorable prizes. Those 100 researches were honored and awarded by the Youth Union and the National University of Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of November 24th, 2018.

Congratulations to Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc! Hope that the prize is the great foundation for her to gain further motivation to continue developing and accomplishing her study towards contributing to the Tourism of Viet Nam.
