4th International Conference on Innovation in Learning Instruction and Teacher Education

Theme: Education 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence: Paving the Way for Future Learning

Hanoi, 13th  – 14th  December 2025

Background

International Conference on Innovation in Learning Instruction and Teacher Education (ILITE) is a prestigious biannual event hosted by Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE, Vietnam), creating an international forum networking scholars, educators and policy-makers across the world to share our knowledge and look to the better future of education. The 1st edition was held in December 2019 under the theme “Competency-based Learning and Teacher education” was co-organized with Southern Cross University (Australia). The theme of the 2021 ILITE Conference was Innovation for sustainable education in the changing context. This 2nd edition was honorly co-organized with Cologne University, Bayreuth University, National Taiwan Normal University and UNESCO Chair in Reorienting Education towards Sustainability (York University, Canada). The 3rd Conference was co-organized with Cologne University, Bayreuth University, National Taiwan Normal University, New South Wales University.

In December 2025, HNUE, with supports of Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, continues to host the 4th edition of ILITE under the theme: “Education 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence (AI): Paving the Way for Future Learning”. The Conference aims to establish a forum for sharing and exchanging perspectives on the transformation of education within the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI). Its objective is to explore the emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities that AI presents in enhancing teaching methodologies, learning processes, and educational management. Furthermore, the Conference seeks to contribute to the development of a smart education system by centering discussions on advanced educational models integrated with AI technology.

Topics

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

  • Education 4.0: Core principles and initiatives; the evolution of pedagogical practices and learning paradigms within the context of digital transformation; policies and curriculum advancements associated with Education 4.0.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emerging Technologies in Contemporary Education: The integration of AI within educational frameworks, scientific inquiry across diverse socio-economic and cultural landscapes; the role of AI in facilitating personalized learning, interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary education, and multicultural learning environments, among other applications.
  • Digital Transformation in Education: The impact of digital technology on pedagogical approaches; the implementation of blended and flexible learning models; the role of public-private partnerships in the development of sustainable educational technology and the shaping of the future of education; the psychological challenges encountered by educators and learners during the digital transformation process; and the collaboration between educational institutions and social entities in the digitalization of education.
  • Technology in Enhancing STEM Education: The integration of virtual laboratories, simulations, and interactive platforms in STEM education; collaborative learning and innovation in STEM facilitated by technology; and emerging technologies that are shaping the future of STEM education.
  • Teacher Training and Adaptation Requirements: Redefining the role of teachers in digital learning environments; enhancing teacher training and professional development to align with the demands of Education 4.0; and integrating digital competencies into teacher education and professional development programs.
  • Artificial Intelligence for Inclusive Education, Sustainable Development, and Lifelong Learning: Strategies to ensure equitable access to technology-assisted learning tools; AI support for students with disabilities and special needs; promoting sustainable development through environmentally friendly AI practices and integrating sustainability education into AI-supported curricula; and utilizing AI in education sustainably and ethically, balancing innovation with responsibility.
  • Education Policy and Governance in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: An examination of AI-driven decision-making processes in educational policy formulation; ethical considerations and governance frameworks related to AI integration in education; and the reimagining of curricular structures in response to advancements in artificial intelligence.

Guidelines for abstract and full paper submission

Abstract and full paper submission

-Papers must be original, unpublished works, and they must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

- All abstracts and full papers must be submitted in American English. If a paper is accepted for publication, but the English requires editing, it will be the authors’ responsibility to arrange this.

- At the first stage, an abstract of max. 300 words (incl. main research purpose, methods, findings and significance) and a short bio (max. 100 words, 1paragraph) are required. Your abstract will undergo a double-blind peer review by the international scientific board after its receipt.

- If your abstract is accepted, you will be invited to submit a full paper (see deadline below) and make oral/poster presentations at the Conference.

- Full papers should address both theoretical issues and new research findings. Your paper should be compiled in the following order:

  • Title page; abstract; keywords (3-5 keywords)
  • Introduction to the research problem, research questions or research hypothesis.
  • Main content should include literature review, research methods, results and discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgement
  • References (APA 7th edition style)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12; Spacing: single (see attached Paper template)
  • Word limit: 4000 to 7000 words
  • Full papers will go through a double-blind reviewing process and are expected to meet the scientific criteria of novelty and academic excellence. You may be asked to submit the revised paper before the stated deadline.
  • Full accepted papers will be selected for oral presentation.
  • The manuscript should be submitted as an MS Word document in .docx format (not as a PDF format).

Symposium proposal

We invite speakers whose presentations align on similar research topics to submit a forum presentation abstract. The abstract should clearly and concisely outline the forum’s overarching theme and highlight the specific topics each speaker will address. Submissions should thoughtfully engage with the core issues and ideas that the forum aims to explore. Each forum will feature a moderator and 3-4 speakers, all of whom must register in advance. Individual presentations are limited to 20 minutes, including time for a Q&A session. The total duration of each forum will be a maximum of 80 minutes.

Publication

- Accepted papers will be considered for publication in the Conference proceeding (with ISBN) or SCOPUS/WoS indexed journals.
