On the side of the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi, the meeting was honored to welcome Professor Marco Abbiati - Science and Technology Counsellor, Ms. Tran Hong Hanh - Regional Director, UNI-ITALIA, Ms. Benedetta Iaconisi, the University of Siena, and Ms. Nicole Mussolin, the University of Bologna.
On the side of Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE), there was Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hien - the Chairman of the University Council of Hanoi National University of Education; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Son - President of Hanoi National University of Education; Dr. Dinh Minh Hang - Head of the President’s Office; Assoc. Prof. Duong Minh Lam - Head of Science and Technology Office; Prof. Dang Ngoc Quang - Dean, Faculty of Chemistry; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Lan Hung Son - Dean of Faculty of Biology, Assoc. Prof. Le Van Hien - Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics; Assoc. Prof. Dang Vu Khac - Vice Dean, Faculty of Geography; and Dr. Pham Thi Ngoc Quynh - Deputy Head of the President's Office.
At the beginning of the working session, Associate Professor Nguyen Duc Son - President of Hanoi National University of Education, delivered a welcoming speech to welcome the esteemed delegation from the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam to visit and work with Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE). Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Son introduced the history of the institution, crucial information about education and teaching, and the position of HNUE in the national education system, as well as the significant contributions of the university to the 2018 General Education Program. Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Son emphasized four key tasks regarding international cooperation and expressed hope that through future collaborative programs, the Italian Embassy would serve as a bridge between HNUE and the education system of Italy.
During the working session, Professor Marco Abbiati expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception from the university and highlighted opportunities for cooperation in education, training, and scientific and technological advancements through the Erasmus and Horizon Europe programs. Additionally, Ms. Tran Hong Hanh shared information about UNI-ITALIA and various forms of cooperation at different levels of education that can be conducted with HNUE.
In the exchange session, Assoc. Prof. Dương Minh Lam provided an overview of the university's faculty, primary research areas, and scientific and technological achievements from 2017 to 2024, and proposed four programs for collaboration with the Italian university system.
Based on the responses from the university representatives and the Embassy of Italy, the comprehensive and effective educational model of HNUE was highly appreciated, particularly regarding the number of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs, as well as the scientific and technological accomplishments of the institution.
The working session opened up opportunities for collaboration between HNUE and Italian universities through the introduction of the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam.
