The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Nguyen Van Minh, former President of the University; Prof. Luc Huy Hoang, in charge of the Institute of Natural Sciences, along with leaders of faculties, departments, and centers. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Mr. Phan Thanh Cong, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ninh Binh Province, Mr. Dinh Van Kham, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ninh Binh Province, along with leaders of the Department and relevant departments.
During the meeting, representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Ninh Binh province presented the province's achievements in education and training development in recent years and its strategy for the coming time. They also pointed out specific difficulties in implementation and challenges posed in achieving the province's educational goals.
Mr. Phan Thanh Cong, Director of the Department of Education and Training, emphasized the important role of Hanoi National University of Education in teacher training for the country in general and Ninh Binh province in particular. He affirmed that the visit and working session of the delegation from Hanoi National University of Education is a valuable opportunity for the Provincial Department of Education and Training to receive support and cooperation from HNUE in improving the quality of education and training human resources in the context of schooling facing many challenges and requiring innovation.
Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hien, on behalf of the delegation from HNUE, expressed his sincere thanks for the warm welcome from the Department of Education and Training of Ninh Binh Province. Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hien emphasized the role of HNUE in teacher training and in orienting the country's educational development and analyzed the potential for cooperation between the two sides, not only limited to training and academic development but also expanding to scientific and technological activities, natural resources and environment, and cultural economy of Ninh Binh province.
At the exchange, Prof. Nguyen Van Minh, former President of the University, representatives of the Institute of Natural Sciences, faculties, centers, and departments, including Prof. Luc Huy Hoang, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Bien, Dr. Luu Thi Kim Nhung, Assoc. Prof. Duong Minh Lam, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Danh Bich, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Lan Hung Son also exchanged and shared ideas on the orientation and implementation methods of cooperation to improve the quality of the teaching staff, implement the 2018 general education program, STEM education, foreign language education, scientific and technical research of students, training of gifted students, testing and assessment; along with some proposals related to the development of culture and tourism of Ninh Binh province.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides reached an agreement on the principle of coordination, opening up potential directions for cooperation between the two sides. This event marks a significant step forward in the cooperative relationship between Hanoi National University of Education and the Department of Education and Training of Ninh Binh province, promising to bring practical results for the development of education in particular and the general economy and culture of the province.
