CREDIT RECOGNITION PROGRAM BETWEEN HANOI NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION AND DE LA SALLE-DASMARINAS UNIVERSITY (PHILIPPINES)

For the academic year 2024-2025, Hanoi National University of Education and De La Salle-Dasmariñas University (Philippines) have officially launched a credit recognition program with majors in English-taught Mathematics Education (Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics) and English-taught Biology Education (Faculty of Biology). This marks a significant step in the university's international cooperation, opening up valuable learning and experience opportunities for students

Under the direction of the University's Board, the program is currently being piloted with the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics and the Faculty of Biology of Hanoi National University of Education, starting from the first semester and expected to last until the summer semester of the 2024-2025 academic year with the College of Computer Studies of DLSU-D. This initiative was implemented following the signing of the MOU and a series of workshops, working sessions, and practical experience visits between the two universities in the 2023-2024 academic year. Participating students can study at DLSU-D for one semester, experience the international educational environment, and receive credit recognition for completed courses.

Highlights of the program:

  1. Expanding knowledge and skills: Students are exposed to advanced training programs, modern teaching methods, and high-quality facilities at DLSU-D.
  2. Developing foreign language skills: Students can improve their English proficiency through daily communication and learning in an international environment.
  3. Experiencing diverse cultures: Students can learn about the culture, people, and life in the Philippines, broadening their understanding of the world.
  4. Expanding network relationships: Students can connect with international friends, building valuable relationships for the future.
  5. Developing high-quality training programs: Meeting domestic and international labor market needs.

Student selection criteria:

(a) Have completed at least two semesters at Hanoi National University of Education for a bachelor's degree. (b) A minimum GPA of 7.0 or higher (on a 10-point scale) (cumulative GPA over the semesters studied). (c) Have language proficiency or skills appropriate to the requirements of the program. (d) Passport with a valid expiration date based on the duration of the exchange program and current state regulations. (e) Have fulfilled financial obligations to Hanoi National University of Education. (f) It is not subject to disciplinary action from academic warnings or higher and is not subject to criminal prosecution up to the time of application for exchange. (g) Commitment to self-finance for expenses not covered. (h) Other conditions may arise during the agreement process between the two universities and the two faculties.

Students participating in the exchange program will receive 100% support for tuition fees and accommodation expenses, health insurance cards, access to the entire international learning resource system, and partial support for airfare from the university.
