FESTIVAL OF VIETNAMESE STUDENTS ETHNIC GROUPS AND PROVIDING SUPPORTS FROM HANOI NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FUND FOR STUDENTS IN DISADVANTAGED AREAS

On 16th April, Hanoi National University of Education solemnly held the Festival of Vietnamese Students ethnic groups and provided support from Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) Financial Assistance Fund for students in disadvantaged areas.

The program was attended by Prof. Nguyen Van Minh - President of the Hanoi National University of Education, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hien - Party Secretary - Chairman of the University Council, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Son - Vice President of the University, and Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Trao - Vice President of the University. The program also involves the participation of lecturers and staff in the Labor Union, Youth Union, Student Association of the University, representatives of departmental and faculty leadership, and nearly 1000 students from various ethnic groups. Additionally, the program includes representatives from BIDV Bank, press agencies, and media attending and reporting on the event.

Attending and speaking at the program, Prof. Nguyen Van Minh - the President of the University, shared: "I am grateful for life and people. I have experienced many stages, and within me, there is a deep concern for individuals, for destinies, and our students. Each person contributes a small deed to make others better. That is the meaning of life... I admire all of you. Coming from remote villages, and facing extremely difficult conditions, you have done what seemed impossible to achieve in the present day and contribute to a future with a heart full of compassion. Some people choose to leave, but you find a way to return and do something meaningful for your homeland and village. Today, you nurture what is good so that tomorrow you can wholeheartedly give to life."

The HNUE Financial Assistance Fund for students in disadvantaged areas has selected and provided support to 16 ethnic minority students who are currently studying at the university as a source of encouragement and motivation for them to continuously strive in their studies and personal development. They are expected to become dedicated educators and nurture the future generations of our country.

Selected students received the financial assistance fund 

To express her gratitude and determination, Xong Vi Va - a student from the K71 of the Faculty of Primary Education, represented fellow students and shared her thoughts: "I am an ethnic minority, living in a remote area in Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province. My commune borders Laos and consists of 19 villages, all inhabited by ethnic minority communities, with the Hmong people (my ethnic group) being the majority. It can be said that my commune is one of the poorest areas in Nghe An province... From the bottom of my heart, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the HNUE Financial Assistance Fund for students in disadvantaged areas for providing this support to us. We are sincerely eager to contribute to creating positive changes for the children in our homeland."

The program also awarded Certificates of Merits from the President of Hanoi National University of Education to 22 journalists and 10 lecturers/staff who have made significant contributions to the university.

During the program, the students also had the opportunity to interact and ask various questions to the university leadership on different topics. Through the answers provided by Prof. Nguyen Van Minh, valuable information was conveyed to the students, offering them beneficial insights.

The program concluded with many beautiful impressions, uplifting emotions of humanity, and the noble intentions of bringing goodness to the younger generation. The HNUE Financial Assistance Fund for students in disadvantaged areas was established by Prof. Nguyen Van Minh, the President of Hanoi National University of Education, to promote educational and talent development activities, provide scholarships, and awarding prizes to encourage and support students in overcoming challenges and realizing their potential in learning and personal growth. The Fund receives and manages financial resources from organizations, institutions, unions, businesses, philanthropists, and alumni to carry out activities in line with the Fund's mission and legal regulations.

In the future, the faculty and students of Hanoi National University of Education hope that the HNUE Financial Assistance Fund for students in disadvantaged areas will thrive, ensuring that no dreams fade away due to hardships, no noble aspirations are buried, and everyone has the opportunity to soar.
