Attending the program were the Board of Directors, Center for Research and Teacher Professional Development, Training Department, President’s Office, IT Center, lecturers of the Faculty of Psychology Education, Management Board, and lecturers of the faculties of Hanoi National University of Education and representatives of the Board of Directors and teachers guiding pedagogical internship in K12 schools.
Giving the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son - Vice President of the University emphasized that pedagogical internship is an important part of the teacher training process. Hanoi National University of Education wants to closely connect with teachers in K12 schools to coordinate with lecturers of Hanoi National University of Education to practice pedagogical skills, practice guidance, and internships in accordance with the needs of general education. The University hopes that pedagogical internship work in the new context will be implemented specifically and promptly and with the connection and companionship of teachers and instructors, intern teachers will complete it with quality internships and gain valuable experiences for their future career.

In parallel with the reform of the 2018 General Education Program, Hanoi National University of Education has also innovated the teacher training program according to the quality and capacity of pedagogical students. Dr. Tran Ba Trinh - Head of the Training Department presented the whole process for developing professional capacity for students at the university and the requirements placed on students during their pedagogical internship at educational institutions.
Dr. Khuc Nang Toan – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Psychology - Education and MA. Nguyen Thuy Quynh - Lecturer of the Faculty of Psychology - Education shared about supporting school psychology through homeroom work. Experts have analyzed the psychological basis of class homeroom work. The importance of working closely with parents, colleagues and other educational forces inside and outside the school to support students. This is an important task, however, when implemented at educational institutions, there are still many challenges.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Bien - Director of Center for Research and Teacher Professional Development has some ideas and suggestions for presentation and discussion content at online sessions by subject. Specified professional content discussed in specific sessions includes: basic perspectives on teaching and developing capacity, how teachers are trained in teaching and developing capacity, and the challenges they may encounter when teaching and developing capacity in K12 schools.
Hanoi National University of Education has a team of experienced lecturers, participating in a variety of activities implementing the 2018 Education and Training program such as being program authors, textbook authors, document authors and program trainers (ETEP). The university has also integrated the most updated content into the teaching methods modules such as the modules: Theory and methods of teaching subjects, building teaching plans, organizing teaching and practicing teaching at pedagogical schools. These contents closely follow the orientations for the organization of teaching under the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training such as Official Dispatch 5512 and other administrative documents, teaching instructions, testing and assessment to meet the General Education Program in 2018.
During the "Connecting and Accompanying" meeting, the university opened 16 meeting rooms for specialized faculties, including the participation of lecturers, internship instructors at K12 schools and other students to share, discuss and reach consensus on teaching and capacity development requirements for teachers. More than 1,000 lecturers, administrators, teachers and students participated in these discussion sessions. Many ideas for in-depth connection between lecturers at Hanoi National University of Education and K12 teachers of schools in the professional development network (competency assessment, STEM education, psychological counseling...) have been proposed, unified and planed for implementation in the near future. This is the most crucial result of the Connecting and Accompanying Topic No. 01 of 2024.
